Picture Frame Backing Tapes
Picture frame backing tapes are brown in colour, have good adhesion and are used primarily to seal the frame back from dust, mites and other insects. They also make the finish at the back of the picture frame look professional and are available in two different thickness and 3 different widths. The ECO 15 tape range is available in : 25mm, 38mm and 50mm widths, it is quite a flexible brown tape which is ideal for shaping into corners and rebate of the back of the frame. The thicker and stronger ECO 25 range of tapes are available in 38mm and 50mm widths and are thicker than the ECO 15 range, but not quite as flexible. We also stock gummed brown backing tape. Gummed Brown Frame Backing Tape 50mm x 200metres. Gummed 70gm². Brown gum paper tape is still preferred by many framers for sealing the backs of pictures. Be sure to wet it thoroughly with a sponge or through a dispenser, otherwise it will tend to bubble away from the frame. Often more durable in warm conditions. 70gm², to work in most wetters.
