Picture Rail Hooks & Accessories
A traditional picture rail is either a wooden or plaster strip installed 7 to 9 feet above the floor from which framed pictures and paintings are hung using picture wire and picture rail hooks. This type of rail is primarily seen in older homes with plaster walls, where hammering in nails to hang pictures may cause damage to the plaster wall surface. Furthermore, the plaster may not be strong enough to support a nail with a picture hung on it. Picture rail hooks hook over over the picture rail and provide a hook end from which cord, wire, perlon or steel cables can be hung down from the picture rail to hang the frame below. We have narrow and wide picture hooks in brass, chrome, white and bronze finishes. Gallery quality sturdy picture rail hooks are available for heavier loads.
We also stock a wide variety of suspender perlon and steel cables for picture rails along with attachment hooks to hang your picture frames with.
