Shipping & Delivery

The following are some commonly asked questions about our shipping policy/costs -test

Who do you use for delivery? We use Royal Mail to process our deliveries within the UK.
Why do you use Royal Mail? Royal Mail has one of the widest delivery networks across the whole of the UK including the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland. They can offer some of the best prices and delivery times for the whole country.
What will the shipping cost of my order be ? The cost of shipping & delivery is calculated based on the estimated total weight of the items in your order. Small lightweight items under 0.1kg can ship for as little as the cost of a Royal Mail Large Letter rate. Costs are based on the size of packaged items, ie Large Letter, or Small/Medium parcels.
When will my order ship? We work Monday through Friday and dispatch on the same day for orders received before midday each working day. Orders received after midday Monday through Friday will ship the next working day.
How long will my delivery take?

Royal Mail 48 : 3-5 Business Days

Royal Mail 24 : 1-3 Business Days

Royal Mail Tracked 48 : 2-3 Business Days

Do you offer next day delivery? We can sometimes offer Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm at an additional cost to you. If you require this service, please contact us before midday am Monday-Friday and we can advise and invoice you for this additional cost.

Next day deliveries that are shipping on Friday for delivery on a Saturday incur an additional weekend delivery cost (£3+VAT) on top of the Next Day Delivery charge from Royal Mail

Royal Mail's Next Day before 9 am service is not advised as in our experience they regularly involve attempted deliveries that occur very early (sometimes before 7 am, when businesses are typically closed).
How is shipping affected by weight? For UK shipments less than 2kg in weight, we use Royal Mail 24 & Royal Mail 48 delivery (Large Letter & Small / Medium Parcel) services, sometimes with Signed For (requiring a signature) service.
What about heavier orders? For UK shipments of over 2kg we usually use Royal Mail Tracked 48 but occasionally use other providers such as DPD. Sometimes for larger shipments we ship multiple packages from same order as a multi-package consignment which will have multiple tracking barcodes which we will forward to you in the order dispatch notification.
Do you offer free shipping? Yes, free (Royal Mail 48, 3-5 day) shipping is offered on orders over £35 (including VAT) we only do free shipping to UK destinations, this discount is automatically available during the checkout process when you have items in excess of £35 incl.VAT in your shopping cart..
Can I track my order?

We are provided with barcodes for all Royal Mail shipped items. Royal Mail 24 & Royal Mail 48 barcodes are only useful for delivery confirmation, not tracking. If you require tracking on your order please use the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service which will allow your order to be -

  • Tracked to delivery point

  • SMS or email delivery notifications directly  from Royal Mail

  • Aims to deliver in two to three working days

  • Change your delivery options before delivery is attempted

Items shipped with Royal Mail Next Day delivery do have barcodes that can be used to track your order.

Where barcodes provide tracking, we will send that barcode in the order dispatch notification. If there isn't one listed there then your order has no tracking available.

What if I am not in to receive the shipment?

Royal Mail should leave a red re-delivery card if you are out. Please check for one if you are expecting a delivery. The red card will detail what time they called and list details about scheduling a redelivery at your convenience. You also have the option to pick up your missed delivery from your delivery office at your convenience.

I have not received my order, what should I do?

First of all, please make sure you have not received a red attempted delivery card from Royal Mail. They will leave one of these if they have attempted delivery when you were out.

There is also a chance that Royal Mail may leave your delivery with a neighbour or in your designated 'Safe Place', so please check these locations.

If there is no red card, and you have not received your order in the forecast time for your chosen delivery service, please contact us and we can check the delivery confirmation barcode for additional information relating to your delivery.

You may also want to check your delivery address (it will be listed in your order confirmation email). Occasionally this address if you have checked out with Paypal Express can be an old address that you have mistakenly used.
